A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD

Do All Roads Lead to God?

All roads lead to God. This is a very common claim today. But is it true? Do all roads lead to Chicago? Roads have specific direction that leads to a specific destination. God has a specific plan for the world to have a relationship with Him. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." The way to know God is by accepting His Son. Here are five road signs to get to God:

Man's Road is Closed

Romans 3:10, "As it is written, There is none righteous, no not one." There is nothing mankind can do to repair the road back to God. We are broken. Romans 3:12b, "there is none that doeth good, no, not one."

God's Detour

God paved the way for each of us to be brought back to Him. John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life." Though man's road is closed, God sent Jesus to make a way.

One-Way Road

God’s way for man to come back to him was accomplished by his Son, Jesus Christ. Romans 5:8, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." The reason that Jesus came was to purchase the only way back to God for man. Acts 4:12, "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."

Toll Free

God's way is not earned or worked towards. God's way is 100% toll free for us. Titus 3:5a, "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us." There is nothing we can physically or spiritually do to earn a relationship with God. Salvation is all through the work of Jesus Christ.

Your Personal Crossroad

Today, you are confronted with a choice: trusting that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life or continue to believe that all roads lead to God. If you would like to trust Jesus and what he accomplished on the cross for you, the Scripture states in Romans 10:13, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." A simple decision from your heart to trust the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus for the payment of your sin restores your relationship with God.
